M42 is an exotic hard grade of High Speed Steel with more Cobalt and Vanadium for 35% longer life than HSS grade. It is great for surfacing most hardwoods. All knives are double edged and fit the Tersa™ brand cutterheads. These knives are the original Swiss Made Tersa™ brand knives.
